16 year old Suniya Brooks, aka NyNy, was murdered in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 25, 2021.
At 2:05 am on on July 25, 2021, officers from the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department were dispatched to the area of 2200 Gull Road for multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found 16 year old Suniya on the ground with a fatal gunshot wound.
She was hit by a stray bullet fired from a vehicle into a crowd outside the Big Bend Apartment Complex. A 16 year old boy was also seriously injured.
The individuals in the vehicle sped away and have never been identified.
