Deantai Box – 2017 Homicide – Detroit

32 Year old Deantai Box was murdered on September 25, 2017. The incident occurred at 7:20 am in the 18000 block of Ohio Street in Detroit, near Wyoming and Curtis.

Deantai was fatally shot in his driveway as he walked outside to grab a wheelchair for a terminally ill friend.  A witness stated they heard someone say “no” three times followed by several gunshots.

The police don’t know whether Box was the victim of a random robbery or if we was targeted.

Deantai had opened up the Something Unique floral shop in Southfield earlier in the year.
