William Ellis was born on July 20, 1992. He followed a vegan diet and frequented natural food stores. Prior to his disappearance he had been talking about traveling to Hawaii.
On November 21, 2017, William Ellis went to Wyandotte Henry Ford Hospital to be treated for hypothermia. He left on foot before being evaluated, and hasn’t been seen since.
Some of his belongings, including a black down jacket, a yellow parka, a pair of blue jeans, a pair of hiking shoes and a backpack, disappeared with him.
William’s father reported him missing to the Wyandotte Police Department the following day.
In June 2019 there was a possible sighting of William behind Waterfront Mary’s in Sturgeon’s Bay, Wisconsin. The man resembling Ellis said he had “no name,” and was part of a group of men who were planning to live in the woods, off grid. This sighting has not been confirmed.
