The body of 59 year old Wayne Smart was found murdered in his River Rouge home on September 18, 2014. He was found at 1:30 p.m. in his bedroom, fully dressed with a gunshot wound to the head.
There were no signs of forced entry in his home, and the incident took place in the 500 block of Superior Street, near Eaton Street in River Rouge. It’s believed that Wayne Smart may have known his killer.
Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $2,500 reward for any information leading to an arrest in the case.
