Steven Cal was murdered in his garage around 3 am on March 8, 2009. The incident took place at his residence on Callie Drive in Commerce Township. Cal was returning home from a bar when he was shot after pulling into his garage.

A neighbor called 911 to report hearing gunshots, but police were unable to pinpoint where they came from. A short time later neighbors walking their dog discovered Cal’s body in his garage.

Cal and his wife were living separately at the time, but were trying to get back together. They went to the Fight Club strip bar in Inkster on the evening he was killed, and after they left he dropped her off at her apartment before heading home. After pulling into his garage Steven Cal was shot eight times at close range.

39 year old Steven Cal was the youngest of 12 siblings. He worked an electrician for General Motors, and left behind a 2 year old daughter.
