19 year old Patrick M. Jones was on his way to work when he was murdered on March 12, 2015. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on the 9200 block of Patton Street between Cathedral and Westfield on Detroit’s west side.
Patrick was with a friend at a bus stop in the 9200 block of Patton Street near Tireman and the Southfield Freeway on the city’s west side when a car with four individuals inside stopped next to them. Two men exited the vehicle and started firing shots, killing Jones. Police say they believe the shooting was an attempted robbery.
