34 year old Michael Cope was killed by a hit and run driver on December 6, 2015 in Port Huron Township. The incident took place at approximately 3:30 am along Griswold Road, west of Michigan Road.
Michael Cope was struck by a vehicle headed west on Griswold between Michigan and Range. After striking Cope, the driver left the scene of the crash. Michael was discovered dead at the scene by rescue crews.
Michael was a 2000 graduate of Yale High School. He leaves behind a four year old son.
