At approximately 2:00 pm on April 8, 2024, James eft his home located in the 37000 block of Westwood Circle for a walk, but never returned home.

James has dementia and left his required medication behind at home. He is believed to be lost, possibly disoriented and may need assistance finding his way home.

He was last seen wearing a black zip up hoodie, blue sweatpants, black gym shoes, and a blue USA baseball cap.

Update: James Sanford Found Deceased

On March 28, 2026, the body of James Sanford was found near Hines Drive in Livonia, Michigan. Positive identification was made through dental records. His death remains under investigation.
