41 year old Ditwan Morgan was murdered on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She was shot in the back while entering her home after getting into a verbal argument with unknown men outside. Her three year old son was inside when the shooting occurred.
The incident took place at 9:30 p.m. on the east side of Detroit in the 10000 block of Bonita near Hayes and Outer Drive. Police say the motive is unknown, but they believe it was a random act of violence.
Ditwan Morgan, a mother of two, was the owner of Change of Life, a business she created to provide food, shelter and care for the homeless.
